My husband and I are world travelers. We had just gotten off a river cruise with many excursions included. So when we looked for something in Saigon for our last day we wanted to make sure we saw it like the locals. Saigon Unseen was the answer. Starting with the contacts all the way from pre and post travel, Adam the owner, took personal interest in making sure all was done right. As we were arriving the morning after the typhoon/storm hit he emailed me to ensure that all was still a go and safe to do so. Total professionalism.
The guides were right on time and a total joy to be with! I traveled with Sau, a guide studying for her tourism degree. Her English was great and she knew so much of the area. But mostly she shared so much about the people and their lives.
My husband was with Chau, a smiling mass of kindness and pride in his city. The trip itself was a total experience. From the backstreets and markets to the wealthy parts of the city, we saw it all. Someone told us the safest way to travel in HMC is by motorbike as it is the most common form of transport. I never felt unsafe! I loved every minute of it. Make sure you tell your guide the things you want to see and they will try and make it happen.
Best moments were climbing to the bell tower of a Cau Dai temple and eating in a very locals restaurant.
Thanks Adam, Chau and Sau for a trip to remember. We can now say we have seen Saigon unseen.
